The Township of Ramara, in partnership with the Brechin Mara Legion, Brechin & District Lions Club, Ramara Chamber of Commerce, Ramara Recreation, Ramara Public Library, Ramara Firefighter Association, Jane Lee, Susan Potalivo and other contributing organizations, is launching the Feeding Families campaign from November 13 to December 15 to help meet the needs of families in the community.
Over the past three years, the campaign has over $30,000 to support local families in the Ramara community. This year's goal is to raise $10,000 or more in money and/or gift card donations that will be distributed to local families in need. As well, donations placed on the Mitten Tree will be distributed to the local families.How can I get involved?

Where can I donate?
Residents and businesses can drop off Money or gift cards at the following locations:
- Township Administration Building,
- Ramara Centre, or
- Ramara Public Library branch - Ramara Centre
All donations are distributed to local children and families in Ramara. Residents are asked for their continued generosity and support in helping those most in need in our area.
Corporate Donation
Do you want to support your local community for the holidays? This year, with each monetary donation, Ramara Township will highlight the company or organization on its social media channels, website and news releases. Any monetary donation over $100.00 will also receive a donation receipt.

Mitten Tree
In order to bring a bit of warmth to Ramara, a Mitten tree is placed at the Ramara Centre and Township Administration Building for mitten and hat donations to be placed or taken. We are accepting any new or gently used mitts or hats. Residents are invited to take what they need from the trees, with all of the remaining apparel to be donated at the end of the campaign.
Winter Coats
There will be a box placed at the Ramara Centre and Township Administration Building for coat donations to be placed to take. We are accepting any new or gently used coats. Residents are invited to take what they need with all of the remaining coats to be donated at the end of the campaign.
Holiday Events
Ugly Sweater - Youth Dance
Get out your ugly sweaters and dancing shoes and join Ramara Recreation for the Ugly Sweater Youth Dance on December 8 from 7-10 p.m. for youth in grades 4-8.
