Blue-Green Algae - Lake St. John UpdateAs of September 26th there still appears to be visual signs of a blue-green algae on Lake St. John.
Samples were also collected at this time and continue to show the presence of microcystins (toxins).
The health unit and the MOECC will continue to monitor the lake and update the group if anything changes.
The criteria to lift an advisory due to blue-green algae include:
1. No visual signs for > 2 weeks; and
2. Sample results are acceptable

Road Closure - Concession 10 at Highway 12
Please be advised that the MTO has closed Concession 10 at Highway 12
for culvert repairs. Houses on Concession 10 can be accessed from the
East side of Concession 10. This construction is expected to be
completed by November 15th 2017.
