Ramara/March 1, 2022 - The Township of Ramara has developed an online Zoning interactive layer for the public to learn about planning rules on individual properties.
Over the past two years, the Township has expanded its interactive layers and access to information and tools for collecting data. The public can access information related to the following:
- Zoning and Land Use Planning
- Septic Reinspection Program
- Short-Term Rental Accommodation Program
- Wards
- Trails
- Bylaws
"The new interactive Zoning layer will provide easy access to data when it's convenient for people looking to access it," reports Mayor Clarke. "Over the past two years, staff have been focused on making data available to the public through the use of interactive layers to increase awareness and transparency. Simultaneously, when data like Zoning or land use planning is conveniently available, it reduces staff requests and improves our customer service."
The public can use interactive mapping and powerful search tools to view a variety of map layers, such as streets, property lines, parks, trails, schools, and other infrastructure.
"The demand for digital tools and online services continues to grow in our community, states CAO Gunby. "Providing information to the community with an easy-to-use tool is important in ensuring data is accessible in a timely and transparent way. With this platform, the Township will expand its data offering in the future."
