Ramara/February 7, 2022 - In response to the gradual reopening announced by the Province, the Ramara Recreation department will offer in-person pop-up classes starting February 15, 2022. As well, the Ramara Township Public Library will also resume in-person services on February 15, 2022 starting at 10:00 a.m. at both branch locations.
The pop-up classes will feature some of Ramara Recreation's popular programs for adults and kids, including Yoga, Zumba, Pickleball, and Friday Night Fun. The public can find out more about what programs will be offered by following Ramara Recreation on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or through the Township's website.
Participants and visitors are reminded to follow all public health requirements and protocols. These include the following:
- Participants must wear a mask when entering and exiting the facility. It is recommended to wear a mask while participating in programs.
- Participants must complete and pass the active screening tool.
- Participants 12 years of age and older must show proof of full vaccination with proper identification; some exceptions do apply.
- Follow all signage to indicate proper physical distancing, and use hand sanitizer available at the entrance and throughout the centre.
- Contact staff by phone or email with inquiries.
With the gradual reopening of the Township, some municipal services continue to be affected.
- The Township Administration building continues to be open to the public by appointment only. Walk-ins are accepted for those accessing the Finance Department.
- Other than the Ramara Centre, Community Centres in Ramara will continue to be closed to the public.
- Fire Halls and Municipal Yards are closed to the public.
- All Council and Committee meetings will continue virtually and can be accessed on the Township of Ramara's YouTube Channel.
