NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED
OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT AND ZONING BYLAW AMENDMENT
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Ramara will hold a virtual public meeting on MONDAY JULY 18, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. using the Zoom platform, to consider a proposed Official Plan and Zoning Bylaw Amendments, pursuant to Sections 17, 26 and 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13. The meeting will be posted to the Township’s You Tube Channel once completed. Please advise the Township of your email address so an invitation to join the public meeting can be sent to allow the public the opportunity to speak at the meeting.
THE PURPOSE of the Official Plan and Zoning Bylaw Amendments are to bring the existing accessory residential unit and agricultural use policies into conformity with Provincial legislation and policy as well as into conformity with the County of Simcoe Official Plan policies. The proposed amendments have been initiated by the Corporation of the Township of Ramara and applies to all lands within the Township.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of, or in opposition to, the proposed Official Plan Amendment and Zoning Bylaw Amendment. Signed, written submissions will be accepted by the Clerk prior to the meeting.
IF YOU WISH to be notified of the adoption of the proposed Official Plan Amendment and Zoning Bylaw Amendment, you must make a written request to the Clerk of the Township of Ramara, Box 130, Brechin, Ontario, L0K 1B0.
IF A PERSON or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of Ramara before the proposed official plan amendment and zoning bylaw amendment are adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Township of Ramara to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT).
IF A PERSON or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of Ramara before the proposed official plan amendment and zoning bylaw amendment are adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
