This service area includes business and lottery
licencing, bylaws, canine control, sale of municipal land, land transfers,
easements, encroachments, recreation and records management.
The Clerk is
responsible for all statutory duties as defined under the Municipal Act,
Election Act, and other legislation which includes the recording of all
resolutions, decisions and other proceedings of Council and Committee,
preparation of bylaws, and elections.
In addition, the Clerks department
provides information and administration services to Council, Committees,
departments and our citizens, relaying decisions or policy of Council
and conveying information to facilitate the effective operations of the
Access and Privacy - FOI (Freedom of Information)
Clerks Department processes all requests for information under the
Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA).
