Invitations, Special Certificates, Flag Raisings and Proclamations

Hosting a community event, local ribbon-cutting ceremony, charity fundraiser, or public meeting? To request the attendance of a Council representative, complete the online event request form.

Due to the number of invitations that members of Council receive, please submit your request at least two weeks (14 days) in advance of the event.

The Township of Ramara may raise guest flags at the Township Administration Building to recognize days of significance, awareness campaigns, or community events.

Requests must be submitted at least four (4) weeks before the requested date. Applications are accepted starting January 1 each year and are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis by the Clerk or designate.

The Township of Ramara issues proclamations to recognize events, awareness campaigns, and initiatives that contribute to the overall well-being of the community. Proclamations are ceremonial statements and do not constitute an endorsement of an organization’s beliefs, policies, or activities.

Requests may be submitted by community groups, non-profit organizations, charitable causes, or individuals seeking to draw attention to a day, week, or month of significance. All requests must be submitted at least four (4) weeks before the requested recognition date and will be reviewed by the Clerk or designate. The Township may decline any request that does not align with municipal values, community standards, or established policies.
