Applications now open for the Lagoon City Parks and Waterways Commission

The Township of Ramara is currently recruiting a volunteer to serve on the Lagoon City Parks and Waterways Commission.

Applications are open until June 30, 2026, at noon (12 p.m.)

The Lagoon City Parks and Waterways Commission is responsible for managing, maintaining, and regulating the waterways, private parklands, two footbridges, and connecting paths within Lagoon City. One commission position is currently available for a levy-paying resident of Lagoon City. The Commission meets at 9:30 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month. This position is for a three-year term ending June 30, 2029.

Interested applicants can learn more about the Commission, review the Terms of Reference, and submit an application at ramara.ca/ApplyNow. Paper copies and assistance with the application process are available during business hours at the Township Administration Building (2297 Highway 12, Brechin).

Appointed members are required to complete a Criminal Record Check, agree to the Township’s Code of Conduct, and consent to the release of their name as a committee member.
