Fire Hydrant Flow Testing Continues July 28
Please be advised that the Ontario Clean Water Agency will be conducting fire hydrant flow testing in Brechin and Lagoon City. This critical testing ensures our municipal water supply and hydrant network can provide adequate pressure and flow in the event of an emergency.
Testing Schedule
- Dates: July 14-15, July 21-22, July 28-29
- Time: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Affected Areas: Municipal water users in Brechin and Lagoon City
What to Expect
During flow testing, increased water flow can temporarily stir up mineral sediment in the water main, causing water to appear yellow, brown or cloudy. The water remains safe for consumption. If discoloured water is detected, run the cold water tap closest to the water source for a few minutes, or until the water runs clear.
