Notice of Construction Commencement - April 22, 2026

The Township of Ramara is pleased to provide the following information regarding the Wastewater Treatment Facility 202 (Bayshore Village Effluent Disposal System) Project.

Please be advised that site preparation work is scheduled to begin on April 22, 2026. This early work will be completed by the Township’s contractor, Tri‑Land Excavating & Haulage, and will include limited tree removal and grubbing only where required to support construction, while maintaining all protected areas.

Project Overview

The Wastewater Treatment Facility 202 Project is proceeding to replace the existing spray field disposal system with new infrastructure located behind the existing sewage treatment lagoons at 3700 Barnstable Drive. The project includes construction of a new lift station and effluent disposal beds to support long‑term wastewater servicing in the community.

Construction Schedule

• Site preparation begins: April 22, 2026
• Main construction contractor: Duivenvoorden Haulage Ltd.
• Construction start: Early May 2026
• Anticipated completion: End of June 2027

Please note that the schedule is subject to change due to weather, site conditions, or other unforeseen factors. Project updates will be shared approximately monthly as milestones are reached.

Anticipated Impacts

During construction, residents may experience the following temporary impacts:

• Increased truck traffic in the area
• Primary truck routes along Concession Road 7 and Barnstable Drive, with occasional use of Muley Point Road
• Minor delays due to construction vehicles

Local traffic and emergency access will be maintained at all times. The construction site will be secured, and residents are asked to stay clear of active work areas for safety.

This project is a critical infrastructure upgrade that will improve wastewater effluent disposal for Bayshore Village, enhance environmental protection, and support continued community sustainability.
