Notice of Construction Commencement – September 16, 2025

Please be advised construction associated with the Maple Trail, Lone Birch Trail, Ridge Avenue and Simcoe Road Servicing Project will commence on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

• Ridge Avenue: KJ Excavating will mobilize to site and initiate excavation activities. This phase of work is anticipated to extend over several weeks.
• The Steps and Lone Birch Trail: Subcontractor CC Underground will undertake directional drilling at The Steps. Upon completion of this work, the contractor will proceed to Lone Birch Trail to carry out directional drilling operations.

Anticipated Traffic Impacts

During the construction period, the Township will endeavor to maintain access for local residents and emergency services. However, the following temporary disruptions should be anticipated:

• Intermittent lane closures and alternating single-lane traffic
• Short-term restrictions to driveway access
• Presence of traffic control personnel and signage to ensure safe passage through work zones

Project Schedule

The majority of construction is expected to be substantially completed by the end of November 2025. Project updates will be issued approximately every three weeks, or more frequently should significant schedule changes arise. Updates will be distributed through hand-delivered notices to impacted residents, the Township’s social media channels and website.

About the Project

The Maple Trail, Lone Birch Trail, Ridge Avenue and Simcoe Road Servicing Project is a critical infrastructure upgrade that will extend municipal sanitary sewer services to properties in this area. This project is being implemented to replace aging septic systems and holding tanks, address potential environmental risks, and support sustainable community growth.
