Atherley-Uptergrove Secondary Plan Area and Rama Road Corridor
The Township of Ramara Wants Your Input:
The Township of Ramara has started a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) study to update the Atherley-Uptergrove Secondary Plan Area and Rama Road Corridor Master Servicing Plan, originally completed in 2006.
The study will identify long-term servicing solutions needed to support future growth and development within the study area over the next 20 years, including:
- Drinking water services
- Wastewater services
- Stormwater and drainage infrastructure
- Coordination of future municipal infrastructure investments
Why Is This Study Being Completed?
Since the original Master Servicing Plan was completed, growth forecasts, planning policies, environmental considerations, and servicing needs have changed.
The updated Master Servicing Plan will:
- Assess existing servicing conditions;
- Forecast future servicing needs;
- Evaluate alternative servicing solutions;
- Identify a preferred servicing strategy; and
- Establish a framework for future infrastructure projects.
The study is being completed in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (2024) for Master Plans using Approach #1 under the Environmental Assessment Act.
Study Area
The study area includes lands within the Atherley-Uptergrove Secondary Plan Area and the Rama Road Corridor.

Public Consultation
Public participation is an important part of this study. Residents, property owners, businesses, Indigenous Communities, agencies, and interested parties will have opportunities to provide comments throughout the study process. All input received will be considered as part of the study.
Consultation opportunities will include:
- Project notices;
- Project website updates;
- Public Information Centre (PIC); and
- Other opportunities to submit comments and feedback.
