Notice of Vacancy – Township of Ramara Appeal Tribunal
The Township of Ramara is seeking applications from interested residents to fill a vacancy on the Appeal Tribunal.
The Appeal Tribunal is an independent, quasi-judicial body established under Bylaw 2020.66 to hear appeals related to decisions made under various Township bylaws, including licensing, short-term rental accommodations, and canine control. The Tribunal plays an important role in ensuring fairness and transparency in municipal decision-making.
Considerations
- Members must be available to attend hearings as scheduled. Hearings are typically held on the last Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m., pending a sufficient number of appeal submissions.
- Preference will be given to applicants with judicial or quasi-judicial experience, or a background in law, adjudication, or regulatory decision-making.

Members are subject to the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act and must act impartially and in the public interest.

This is a paid committee position, with compensation provided pursuant to Bylaw 2025.71 – 2026 Salaries and Honorariums.
