The Township of Ramara advises residents and users of the municipal water distribution system for Lagoon City and Brechin that a watermain break has occurred at 2 Poplar Crescent in Lagoon City.

Repair crews have been on site overnight and will remain in the area today, Saturday, August 9, to complete emergency repairs.

Water Usage Restrictions

Due to the location of the break, near the Lagoon City/Brechin Water Treatment Plant, water is currently being supplied solely from the water tower.

  • Water remains safe to drink and use at this time.
  • Please limit water use to essential needs only, such as drinking, personal hygiene, and food preparation.
  • In order to conserve water in the system, the Bulk Water Station located in Brechin will be temporarily closed until further notice.

These measures will help maintain system pressure and ensure water is available for residents.

We are working to restore full water service as quickly as possible and will provide updates as information becomes available. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank residents for their patience and cooperation.
