Notice of Watermain Swabbing - Bayshore Village Water System - October 22 and 23

Notice of Watermain Swabbing - Bayshore Village Water System
Wednesday, October 22 and Thursday, October 23

On behalf of the Township of Ramara, the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) will be conducting watermain swabbing to remove any sediment or minerals (such as iron) that may have accumulated in the watermains.

Hours of swabbing work will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22 and Thursday, October 23, 2025.

Avoid using water during these times to reduce discoloured water being drawn into your household lines. We recommend you isolate hot water tanks and bypass water softeners during the work periods. Customers may experience discoloured water and low to no water pressure.

At the end of each day, open the cold taps only in your home until the water runs clear. Before doing laundry, it is recommended that the cold taps are opened, and water is flushed to clear beforehand. Once the watermain has been cleaned, normal pressure will be restored.

The Township of Ramara appreciates the cooperation and understanding of its residents during this important maintenance program.

FAQ's and information about watermain swabbing can be found on the Watermain Swabbing page.
