Notice: Official Plan Amendment Approved by County of Simcoe

The County of Simcoe has approved Official Plan Amendment No. 29 (and corresponding Official Plan Amendment No. 1 to the Township's 2025 Official Plan) for lands located at 1506 & 1646 Highway 12 and 2440 & 2530 Concession 1 in the Township of Ramara.

Purpose and Effect:
The amendment redesignates portions of the lands to permit a Class A quarry licence under the Aggregate Resources Act, including quarry operations below the water table, while also providing for ecological enhancements, environmental mitigation, and monitoring throughout the life of the licensed operation.
