Poplar Crescent and Willow Crescent

The Township's Operating Authority has identified a leaking watermain valve on Poplar Crescent in Lagoon City. Repairs to the distribution system are scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Crews will begin mobilizing and excavating at 8:00 a.m.

Service Impact Area

The repair will require a temporary watermain shutdown affecting:

Properties from 21 Poplar Crescent to 41 Poplar Crescent
All properties on Willow Crescent

Residents within the affected service area will receive a hand-delivered notice prior to the schedule repair with details regarding the anticipated water service interruption and recommended preparations.

Watermain Disinfection and Flushing

Following completion of the repair, the repaired section of watermain will be cleaned, disinfected and flushed in accordance with provincial drinking water requirements before being returned to service. Residents in the area may experience temporary discoloured water following the flushing activities. If this occurs, run a cold water tap until the water runs clear.

The Township appreciates the patience and cooperation of its residents as this necessary infrastructure work is completed.

Please note: The work is weather dependent. If the repair is delayed due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, the Township will communicate any schedule changes through its website and social media channels.
