Special Council Meeting Highlights - October 23, 2025
Open Public Forum
- Michael O'Brien provided Council with comments regarding the 2026 Budget Package and suggested it would be easier to understand if wastewater was presented separately as it is not funded by all taxpayers. Mr. O’Brien also had questions about slides 15 and 16 of the 2026 Budget Package with respect to the comparator municipalities selected. He also requested clarification regarding a portion of water/wastewater projects funded through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund.

- Council reviewed, discussed and asked questions regarding the 2026 Mayor's Budget proposal, which included a presentation from staff with an overview of the overall budget and the following budget areas:

- Council will provide any proposed amendments to the 2026 Annual Mayor’s Budget Proposal by the end of the Regular Council meeting on November 3, 2025.

Council approved the following bylaws on October 23, 2025:
- A bylaw to confirm the proceedings of the Special Meeting of Council meeting held on October 23, 2025.
