Storm Impacts & Operations Updates - July 3, 2026 (7 p.m.)

Road Closure Update
Please note that Lakeshore Drive and Sideroad 15 have reopened. While roads have reopened, some impacted areas still have branches and debris along roadsides. Please drive with caution and watch for crews working throughout the Township.

Township crews will continue storm cleanup and debris removal throughout next week.

Tree & Brush Disposal
Residents can dispose of storm-related brush and tree debris by taking materials to a County waste facility (fees may apply) or through the County of Simcoe's regular yard waste collection program. The next yard waste collection in Ramara is scheduled for the week of July 6. Please have materials at the curb by 7 a.m. on Monday, and crews will collect them at some point during the week. The following collection is scheduled for the week of July 20. For yard waste preparation guidelines, visit: https://simcoe.ca/.../org.../special-collections/yard-waste/.

Power Line Safety
Stay at least 10 metres away from any downed power line. Always assume a fallen power line is energized and dangerous. Report downed power lines to Hydro One at 1-800-434-1235.
