Swim Advisory Lifted

Update: The Township of Ramara has received notice today (August 7, 2025) from the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit that a swim advisory has been lifted for the Lagoon City Park Beach.

Original Notice:

The Township of Ramara has received notice today (July 31, 2025) from the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit that a swim advisory for the Lagoon City Park Beach has been issued due to a higher than normal bacteria count.

A swim advisory is issued when bacterial levels exceed the level considered acceptable by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. An advisory is a warning to swimmers, but it is not a beach closure.

Learn more about beach water testing on the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit webpage.
