Swim Advisory Issued - Sept. 3, 2026 - The Steps and Lagoon City Park Beach
The Township of Ramara has received notice today (September 3, 2026) from the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit that swim advisories have been issued for the Lagoon City Park Beach and for The Steps due to higher than normal bacteria counts.
A swim advisory is issued when bacterial levels exceed the level considered acceptable by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. An advisory is a warning to swimmers, but it is not a beach closure.
