Water Over Roadway – Southwood Beach Boulevard

The Township of Ramara would like to advise residents that water is over the roadway on the east end of Southwood Beach Boulevard.

The roadway remains open and is intended for local traffic only. Motorists who must travel in the area are asked to proceed with caution and reduce speeds.

Conditions are being monitored, and updates will be provided as they become available.

Water remains over the roadway at the following:
• Concession Road F-G
• Dalrymple Drive
• West end of Carol Ann Avenue
• Amilia Drive

The following roads remain closed due to flooding:

• Sheba Drive / Bluebird Street
• Kings River Road
• McMillan Sideroad

Please proceed with caution and follow all posted signs. 

How to report a flooded road 

Residents are asked to contact the Township Administration Office to report flooding on Township roads at 705-484-5374 ext. 232 during regular business hours (Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or by calling the after-hours infrastructure line at 705-484-5374 and selecting Option 9. 

Safety reminders 

Key flooding safety reminders include: 

  • do not drive or walk through flooded areas
  • avoid bridges, shorelines, rivers, and streams where water is high and moving quickly
  • clear eavestroughs, downspouts, catch basins, and drains to help water flow away from your home
  • make sure storm sewers and culverts near your property are free of leaves, debris, ice, and garbage
  • if your home or business has flooded, watch for electrical hazards, gas leaks, and sewage concerns
