When is a Septic Permit Required?
A septic permit is required under any of the following circumstances:
- A new house is being constructed
- Proposed alteration that will affect the capacity of an existing system
- Change of use that increases the flow of the building
- Relocating a septic system
- Installation, repair or addition of a sewage holding tank
- The system is failing
- Site grading or alterations in the vicinity of the septic system
How Do I Apply for a Septic Permit?
