Our municipality is located on the North and East shores of Lake Simcoe, just outside of Orillia. Our location provides easy access to Highway 12 and we are within close proximity to Highway 48.


We offer a diverse labour market, with our prime industries being retail, health care, and manufacturing. This labour market draws its diversity from the post-secondary graduates who attend Georgian College and Lakehead University, located in the neighbouring city of Orillia.

Residential Development

We offer a variety of housing options to choose from, located in our rural and agricultural areas, villages, or our many small communities amongst the various shorelines within the municipality.

We also offer numerous commercial and industrial zoned properties located within the Township. Our prime non-residential development areas include our Industrial Park, as well as the Rama Road Economic Corridor. The province identifies the Rama Road Economic Corridor as an economic employment district in the provincial Growth Plan, and is an area where we promote development.
