Please be advised that due to the impact of the Ice Storm, the Earth Day Community Clean-up program is cancelled at this time.

Please note that staff will confirm registration within 2-3 business days. Please ensure that you register for your event in enough time to allow for confirmation.

Community clean-ups bring neighbours, colleagues or classmates together for a common cause - cleaning up our community. They provide an opportunity to see how a small act for a short time can have a significant impact. And, when people get involved in cleaning their neighbourhoods, parks and open spaces, they are less likely to litter - and more likely to keep it clean.

The Township of Ramara is encouraging residents to make a difference this Earth Day and every day through a Community Clean-up and a call to action about our role in protecting a sustainable Earth for future generations. By registering for a clean-up event, groups can pick up cleaning supplies from the Ramara Centre or Township Administration Building and request a pickup of full bags. The clean-up program will run in the spring of each year, starting April 1st and ending April 30th.

While we encourage residents to use their own disposable gloves, clean-up kits are available that include one large garbage bag, one large clear bag and a pair of  disposable gloves. Supplies will be available for pick up at the chosen location.

Register your clean-up

When registering for your cleanup, determine the date and location of the cleanup, and estimate how many people will be participating. Then, visit the online form to register for your cleanup. When registering online, you will choose the location to pick up your supplies: Ramara Centre or Township Administration office. The pickup date and time will be pre-scheduled to ensure supplies are available.

Please note that staff will confirm registration within 2-3 business days. Please ensure that you register for your event in enough time to allow for confirmation.

Pick up your supplies

When picking up your supplies at the specified location, bring a reusable box or bag to pack and transport your clean-up supplies.

Note: Picking up supplies must occur during Township business hours - Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Prepare for clean-up day

Prior to the day of your clean-up, complete our Clean-up Tip Sheet and Awareness Form and share it with your group.
