Have your say on the future of economic development in Ramara
Ramara, Ont. / Nov. 24, 2025 – The Township is inviting residents and businesses from across the municipality to share their input on the future of economic development in Ramara by completing a new survey open until Dec.12, 2025.
“Ramara is at an important moment in its growth,” said Mayor Basil Clarke. “We want to hear about both the opportunities you see and the challenges we can overcome together to ensure future growth reflects Ramara’s unique identity. Your insight will help us set realistic priorities and develop programs to attract the kind of development that strengthens our communities and supports a vibrant local economy.”
The survey can be completed online at ramara.ca/EcDev. To request the survey in an alternative format, please contact the Township at info@ramara.ca or 705-484-5374.
Community members are encouraged to complete the survey and share their perspectives on topics such as business challenges and opportunities, tourism and identity, revitalization opportunities, infrastructure needs, and what successful economic development should look like in Ramara. Survey participants will also have the option to enter a draw for a Local Ramara Prize Pack.
In addition to the survey, Georgian College is conducting interviews with various Township businesses, organizations, and community partners. Insights gathered through these interviews will complement survey results and help ensure the Township gains a comprehensive understanding of local needs and opportunities.
All feedback collected through this engagement process will be analyzed by Georgian College and summarized in a report to Council in early 2026.
This engagement effort is part of a collaborative project between the Township and Georgian College’s Research and Innovation Department to inform the development of an updated Economic Development Strategy and a new Community Improvement Plan (CIP), which will help guide future investment, identify revitalization priorities, enhance business supports, and shape a long-term vision for economic prosperity across the Township.
