Purpose and Effect:
The Zoning By-law Amendment amends the current “Agriculture” and “Rural” zoning on the lands to “Mineral Aggregate Extraction -13(H)” and “Mineral Aggregate Extraction -14(H)” to allow for the establishment of a quarry on the lands and accessory uses. The area zoned “MAE-14(H)” only permits uses related to ecological conservation, ecological enhancement, mitigation and monitoring in conjunction with the quarry operation at the adjacent lands zoned MAE-13(H).
A Holding (H) Provision will remain in place on the lands until all required conditions have been satisfied. These conditions include entering into a registered agreement on title that addresses the necessary upgrades to Concession Road 2 (including plans, costs, maintenance, etc.) The (H) will only be removed once these conditions have been fully met.
