Parks, Trails and Beaches

The Township of Ramara has 104 km of shoreline and maintains five public beaches that are located on Lake Simcoe. All beaches have unsupervised swim areas, so please exercise caution when swimming.

There are 13 parks in Ramara maintained by the Township that offer varying amenities, including playgrounds, picnic pavilions, washrooms and a dog park.

Ramara is also home to two provincial parks: Mara Provincial Park and McRae Point Provincial Park, in addition to other private parks and campsites. Check out Camping in Ontario for a one-stop resource for all private parks and campsites. 

The Trent-Severn Waterway is a historic canal that spans 386 km in length and connects Lake Ontario and Lake Huron. Adventure to Lock 41 in Gamebridge, which connects Lake Simcoe to the beautiful and historic Talbot River.
