Ramara residents and visitors can submit inquiries or questions to the Township by email, phone or in person during operating business hours. The Township aims to acknowledge inquiries within two business days unless otherwise noted.

Township of Ramara After-Hours Contact Information
The Township's regular hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.

OPP Citizen Self Reporting Tool
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Citizen Self Reporting offers a simple and efficient means of reporting minor incidents and crimes such as lost property, stolen licence plates, theft from vehicles, and other occurrences in the area policed by OPP. The Report a Crime portal also promotes neighbourhood safety by allowing for driving complaints to be reported.
Frequently Asked Service Request Questions
What Can I Expect When I Report a Concern Online?
After you submit a service request online, you will receive an email to the address you provided. The email will include a Service Request ID Number, which will help you and Township staff track the progress on the problem you submitted.
What Information Do I Need to Include in a Service Request?
Your submission should include as much information as possible, including a detailed description of the problem and where the problem is located. Submissions must include your contact email and phone number, so Township staff can follow up if more information is required.
Can I Provide an Anonymous Complaint?
The Township of Ramara does not accept anonymous submissions online. If you would like to report a concern without providing your contact information, please call the Township at 705-484-5374.
When Should I Contact the After Hours Number?
The Township of Ramara recognizes that significant issues may arise after regular business hours that result in using the after-hours number.
After-hours requests may include the following:
- Obstacles on the road
- Road flooding
- Ditch backup or flood
- Fallen regulatory sign (stop sign)
- Waterline break/emergency water shut-off
- Sewer backup
- Other public safety hazards

How Long Should I Expect to Wait for My Service Request to Be Addressed?
Your submission will be reviewed within two business days. However, response time will depend on the nature of the problem. For example, some requests may be added to the course of regular work routines and be addressed within a few days or weeks. Other problems may take longer to address or depend on seasonal constraints.
I Have a Garbage and Recycling Issue. What Should I Do?
Garbage and recycling concerns are handled by the County of Simcoe's Waste Management Department. Please call customer service for any of your concerns or complaints at 705-735-6901. You can also download the Simcoe County Collects App, which will provide you with service alerts, reminders and information.
