Roads

The Township of Ramara is responsible for maintaining approximately 361 km of open roads, which includes 183 km of gravel roads and 178 km of hard-surface roads (asphalt pavement or tar and chip). All roads under the Township’s care are maintained in accordance with the Province of Ontario's Minimum Maintenance Standards.. To learn more about how we maintain our roads, sidewalks, and bridge infrastructure, visit the Road Maintenance page.

Our focus is on roads that are formally assumed and maintained by the Township. While we recognize that other types of roads — such as unassumed roads, unimproved roads (like mud or summer roads), and certain road allowances — exist within the municipality, these are generally not part of the Township's regular maintenance program.

Roads Capital Projects
