Bridge Work

The Township of Ramara will be undertaking essential rehabilitation work on Bridge 18 (Island Crescent) and Bridge 19 (East River Road) this summer (2026).

These structures play an important role in maintaining safe and reliable access within our community, and rehabilitation is necessary to extend their lifespan and ensure they continue to meet safety standards.

 

 

Information and Notices

Construction activities will take place during daytime hours. During this period:

  • Bridges will be closed during the day
  • Bridges will be reopened in the evening for regular traffic
  • Emergency services will have access at all times

Each bridge closure is expected to last approximately 1 to 2 weeks. Timing details will be shared as schedules are finalized.

  • Increased on-street parking on nearby roads, as some residents may need to park on the opposite side of the bridge during daytime closures
  • Increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic
  • Construction equipment, activity, and noise
