
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Ramara, through delegated authority authorized by Bylaw 2024.16, passed Bylaw 2025.40 on June 3, 2025, under Sections 34 and 39 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13. This Bylaw amends the Township of Ramara Zoning Bylaw 2005.85, as amended.

Purpose and Effect:
The proposed Temporary Zoning Bylaw Amendment will have the effect of permitting the establishment of a veterinary clinic to operate out of three office trailers with a combined gross floor area of 166 square metres to be placed on the property for a period of 18 months.
Concerns received regarding lot drainage, waste disposal and privacy will be resolved during the building permit stage through a lot grading review and buffering requirements in Section 2(5) of the Zoning Bylaw. Letters of support for the amendment were also reviewed at the Public Meeting.
The property is also subject to Zoning Bylaw Amendment Application Z-2/25, which is currently under review.

Appeal Process:
No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the zoning amendments were adopted, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council or, in the opinion of the Ontario Land Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
Notwithstanding the above, subsection 34(19) of the Planning Act defines the parties that are eligible to appeal the decision to the Ontario Land Tribunal.
If you intend to appeal this Zoning Bylaw Amendment, a Notice of Appeal must be filed with the Township Clerk, Corporation of the Township of Ramara, 2297 Highway 12, PO Box 130, Brechin ON L0K 1B0 no later than 20 days from the date of this Notice for each bylaw and shall include:
- The reasons for the appeal and the specific part of the proposed Zoning Bylaw amendment to which the appeal applies.
- A completed A1 Appellant Form. This form is to be completed by the appellant for appeals relating to the Zoning Bylaw Amendment and is available on the Ontario Land Tribunal website.
- The applicable fee made payable to the “Minister of Finance”
