Couchiching Community Safety and Well-Being Survey
The Township of Ramara, City of Orillia, and the Townships of Oro-Medonte and Severn are refreshing the Couchiching Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Plan, and we want your input.
Take the Couchiching Community Safety and Well-Being Survey
The Couchiching CSWB Plan is our commitment to work together towards improved social outcomes for our residents.
Based on local data and community partner engagement, the updated plan will focus on:
- Housing and Homelessness
- Mental Health and Addiction
- Access to Services
Your feedback will help us understand local needs and guide actions to improve safety and well-being across our community.
The survey is open until May 9, 2025, and takes five-to-10 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary and confidential. Only completed surveys will be included in the final results.
Thank you for contributing — your voice matters.

Major Projects

We would like to thank the community for attending the open house held on Feb. 5, 2025, where we discussed the Draft Recreation Master Plan and its key recommendations. The Draft Plan will be presented to Council at a future meeting.

The Official Plan describes how Ramara plans to accommodate future growth and development while meeting the needs of existing residents and businesses in the area.

Ramara Council encourages residents to participate in local politics by attending or watching Council meetings. The public can present to Council through deputations or provide comments on agenda items through Open Forum!
Ongoing Projects and Initiatives

The Township of Ramara is preparing a Community Improvement Plan (CIP) to help enhance economic development opportunities and business investment, create a sense of community and attract tourism.

Short-term Rental Accommodations within the Township of Ramara are required to obtain an annual licence to operate and are managed and enforced by Ramara's Bylaw Enforcement department.
