Camp Molly
Ramara Fire & Rescue Services is partnering with Orillia Fire, Rama Fire & Rescue, Oro-Medonte Fire, Severn Fire & Georgian College to offer Camp Molly - Lake Country!
Camp Molly provides an opportunity for self-identified females and non-binary youth to meet and engage with strong female role models in their community and explore all aspects of the fire service. Across Canada, women represent 4.4% of the estimated 126, 000 firefighters. Camp Molly continues to support those most marginalized in the fire service to ensure that all attending know that the fire service is a viable career option for campers to consider.
The local camp is taking place on July 11 – July 14, 2024, in partnership with the surrounding municipalities including, the City of Orillia, Rama First Nation, Ramara Township, Severn Township, and Oro-Medonte Township. Camp Molly – Lake Country will host 35 young self-identified women and non-binary people between the ages of 15 – 18 who must attend one of the three local high schools.
Registration for Camp Molly is now open!
Registration will be open until May 11, 2024.
