Water Restored at the Bayshore Village Water System
Updated September 24, 2025 3:53 p.m.
Water service has been restored to the Bayshore Village Water System that affected properties on Bayshore Drive and Lavender Court.
The water remains safe to drink; however, coloured water and air in the plumbing may be present. Customers are encouraged to flush their water lines with cold water once work is complete to address potential pressure loss and coloured water.
Original Notice:
All affected residents will be hand-delivered a notice.
The Township’s contractor, Simcoe Sewer & Water Ltd., will be completing a watermain repair within the area of Bayshore Drive and Lavender Court on Wednesday, September 24.
Residents can expect a temporary water service interruption between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24 in order to complete the repair.
There may be discolouration in the water once it is turned back on. You may have to run your cold-water taps for a few minutes until clear. There may also be air in the lines. This can be resolved by turning on your cold-water taps. Normal discolouration during this process includes rusty or cloudy coloured water. This is normal and non-hazardous.
We apologize for the short notice and inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
