The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry – Aurora Midhurst Owen Sound District is advising area residents that a Flood Watch remains in effect for the below described area in the District until Friday, May 03, 2024 at 1:00 pm.
This bulletin will impact residents living in area around Severn River, Sparrow Lake and Six Mile Lake within the MNRF Aurora Midhurst Owen Sound District. Residents in the area should expect water levels to remain high and flows to remain fast in the coming week.

As of April 30, 2024, maintenance at Sparlings Brechin Propane Bulk Plant is complete.
Original messageFrom April 29 to May 4, Sparlings Brechin Propane Bulk Plant will be conducting maintenance on its propane tanks.
During this time, the public may see visible flares up to 40 feet in the air and hear loud sounds. Those in close proximity to the plant may also feel some radiant heat due to heat production.
